Discrimination is the ultimate prejudice

 Discrimination a simple word, yet with an impact massive. It not only has impact on one individual, but affects society as a whole. If even one person is racist in a company, it can affect and hit the organization deep. Discrimination is very harsh and it's affect is very DEVASTATING. Let's look at some of the types of discrimination that are common around work place.

  • Age Discrimination.
  • Disability Discrimination.
  • Sexual Orientation.
  • Status as a Parent.
  • Religious Discrimination.
  • National Origin.
  • Sexual Harassment.
  • It's Rampant in the Society

    The above picture shows the percentage of complaints filed under the type of discrimination. 
    It clearly shows that the retaliation, disability, race and sex are the most major forms of discrimination faced by people. I have not faced any such discrimination for now. But I am sure that it hurts. If I face discrimination in future, I think it will be devastating and it will make a deep impact on my psychology and also hurt my confidence. 
    I will take steps such as talking to my manager to my superior. But if superiors are involved, then I think I will have to take my complaint with the relative NGO and ask for help.

Seeking Promotion

 I have been in this role of junior data scientist for the past two years. Since then I have shown quality in my work, my dedication to this company has been hundred percent.
