Seeking Promotion

 I have been in this role of junior data scientist for the past two years. Since then I have shown quality in my work, my dedication to this company has been hundred percent. I think that I can achieve more and give more to the company with a role change. I would like to point out that with the emotional intelligence that I carry I can give more if I be promoted to the position of a senior data scientist. 

With my emotional self awareness I have worked with a keen competency and have always made sure that the work is put ahead of all and have made sure to help my peers when in need and also ask for help when needed. This has helped me to make good teams and even lead the team in some occasions. It is very important to know when to put the self aside and seek help. many a time people fail because they fail to seek help at the right time.

I have shown the highest level of empathy and have dealt with my colleagues in a way that has helped us to grow as a team together. I try to understand the point of view of my peers and try to learn about their emotions and ideas by putting myself in their shoes. Not only this has led to better understanding within the team, but with the comfort build around has led us to be more transparent and more effective as a team. Also it has made me a better human being and has made me into a better leader material. As a leader's first priority is the better functioning of the team, organization and so on. It has directly affected my skills in a positive way and I Find myself ready for this new challenge.

Lastly an organization is only as good as its people and the relationship they have among themselves. A strain relationship can always bite in the back and can have devastating affects on the project, company and cost directly or indirectly. Relationship management is very important and has different aspects. I personally take pride in the fact that I am an excellent team worker and am a good conflict manager. I like things going smoothly and have found about myself that for some time now people do look unto me to resolve a conflict or be a tie breaker among them. Also people do come to me for advice and not just regarding work but other stuff as well. I think all these qualities will make an excellent leader and find myself at a juncture of my professional life where I have a lot to offer and would really benefit from this promotion.
